The papers focuses on the methodological role played by Kierkegaard’s thought in the work of the Swiss psychiatrist Ludwig Binswanger (1881-1966). The conceptual tools worked out by Kierkegaard, indeed, give an important contribution to solving the main problem that Binswanger sees in the clinical psychiatry at the beginning of the 20th century, that is, the need to understand the «deepest intimacy» of the subjectivity «in the objectivity by which and in which it consolidates».
